‘Max Miler’, peripatetic piano player and passing man in red

We were in a Brighton cafe.  A peripatetic piano player brought his piano and started playing.  People stopped, people gave a few coins.  Delightful.  At first I didn’t notice that this was looked down on by Max Miller – or at least by his statue.  And then the third component walked by – the man in red.

Max was a ‘blue comedy’ son of Brighton –
